About

Empathy, Warmth & Safety

I am a bilingual Spanish/English, bicultural Latinx provider that was born and grew up in our diverse San Jose community, and I feel confident in my ability to respectfully serve as an ally to various cultural communities and LGBTQIA+. My strengths include empathy, my ability to meet my clients where they are and my ability to create a warm, inviting and safe environment for my clients. I graduated with a Degree of Master in Social Work from San Jose State University and am licensed to practice in the State of California. I have worked in the mental health field for over 20 years. I have provided array of clinical services; including individual and group psychotherapy, education, crisis intervention and case management. As a holistic clinician, I strongly believe in treating my individual client's needs with various evidence based treatment modalities that work for that individual. I am a firm believer in an individual's capacity for growth, healing and change, the ability to move forward and through pain, loss and difficulties. It is a privilege and honor to meet my clients where they are at as they embark on identifying, learning, building and implementing skills that will help them through their path. Therapy dog partner: Hazel, is my 30 pound Australian Labradoodle, she is often with me to help clients feel at ease and provide addional support to my clients during sessions.
